It took Scott’s wife a little time to convince him to start making the salted caramels. But what a pay off!
Using the beautiful vanilla caramel as a base, he dips each caramel, by hand, into semi sweet chocolate. Then before the chocolate sets he sprinkles distinctive sea salts on each: Smoked Chardonnay Sea Salt from California, Hawaiian Tri Color Sea Salt, and Murray River Salt from Australia. The salty/sweet/bitter combination is a delight to the senses.
